The Luxury Highland Tour gives you the chance to stay in one of the Highland’s leading Castles. On this tour you will play some of Scotland’s best Links Golf Courses and enjoy sightseeing.  Sample true Highland cuisine with the occasional “wee dram”. Experience the true nature of Scotland’s Culture Heritage and Hospitality.

The Luxury Highland Tour has everything to offer. In our opinion it is the best all round region in Scotland. For example, golf courses as good as any in Scotland. Secondly, Whisky Distilleries, Castles and Loch Ness (home to Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster). Thirdly, famous battlefields, beautiful scenery, The Cairngorms, walking and cycling. The Highlands has everything.

Royal Dornoch Golf Club sits very close to the grand Dunrobin Castle and 3 Whisky Distilleries, Balblair, Glenmorangie and Dalmore.

Luxury Highland Tour

Day 1

  • Upon arrival at your chosen airport, you will be met by a member of the Platinum team.
  • You will then be transferred to the world renowned Loch Ness in the heart of the Scottish Highlands via your chosen form of luxury transport (private car, coach or helicopter). As you travel, experience a scenic journey through some of Scotlands most spectacular scenery.
  • Should you wish to do so, you may stop for lunch en route and sample some of the fine fayre Scotland has to offer.

Day 2

  • After a full Scottish breakfast, you will be transferred to Nairn Golf Course. Located on the shores of the Moray Firth, this traditional links course is regarded as one of the best courses in Scotland, and has hosted a large number of important championships.
  • After lunch in the clubhouse, you will be transported to the Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere mill and shop. Johnstons has been making beautiful knitwear, clothing and accessories from the most luxurious wools known to man for over two centuries. Here, you will experience a guided tour which will end in the well-stocked mill shop, giving you a chance to browse and purchase some of the beautiful cashmere garments on sale.
  • A medieval evening banquet will be served at Aldourie Castle and will be followed by after dinner storytelling.

Day 3

  • After breakfast, you will travel further north to Dornoch where you will enjoy a round at The Royal Dornoch Golf Club a spellbinding course located in a timeless setting, attracting and mesmerizing golfers from all over the world. It is a wild and isolated course and yet, at the same time, is incredibly beautiful.
  • Describing The Royal Dornoch, Tom Watson, five time Open Champion said, Its the most fun Ive ever had on a golf course. And when asked what the hardest shot in golf was, he answered, the second shot to the second green at Royal Dornoch.
  • After lunch you will visit the famous Glenmorangie Distillery. With the help of an expert guide you will experience all stages of the whisky making process from mashing and fermenting to distilling and maturing all culminating in a dram or two of your choice!
  • Evening entertainment will consist of a traditional Burns Supper followed by live Scottish music.

Day 4

  • Todays Highland safari offers you the unique chance to explore some of the most remote parts of the Scottish Highlands. An experienced guide will drive you into the Scottish hills in 44s where you will not only experience the magnificent Highland scenery, but you will also be provided with the opportunity to get up close to Scottish nature particularly the Highland Red Deer. A gourmet picnic lunch will be served on safari. Whether or not you remember to take your camera, this Highland safari guarantees memories that will last a lifetime. Suitable clothing is a must.
  • Back at Aldourie Castle, a pre- dinner whisky master-class will be followed by a gourmet dinner.
  • After dinner, you are invited to a whisky showcase where you may purchase luxury and rare whiskies.

Day 5

  • This morning, you will play on one of Scotlands newest courses Castle Stuart. This championship links course is home of the Scottish Open and overlooks the Moray Firth, together with other well-known landmarks that are synonymous with Inverness and the Black Isle namely the Kessock bridge, Chanonry Lighthouse and Fort George.
  • Following lunch in the clubhouse, you will return to Aldourie Castle where you will enjoy an afternoon of clay pigeon shooting and falconry within the Castles estate grounds followed by an evening BBQ of roasted suckling pig.

Day 6

  • This is your chance to play one of Scotlands most exclusive and best golf courses. Golf is Skibos principal passion and it will come as no surprise that the club is home to one of the finest of Scotlands championship links courses with 6,833 yards of golfing genius to whet the appetite of any keen player. The club can also now boast former Open Winner, Paul Lawrie, as its Touring Professional.
  • An evening buffet will be served at Aldourie Castle. After dinner, browse the beautiful Scottish jewellery on sale.

Day 7

  • After breakfast travel to the Hidden gem of Scottish Golf Boat of Garten.
  • Boat of Garten should be first on every visitors itinerary. Designed by one of the grand-masters of golf course architecture, James Braid (1870-1950), The Boat is set alongside the River Spey in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The course is not only renowned as a demanding test of sporting skill but also as a magnificent setting for the game. Braids design features 18 completely individual holes, cleverly and sensitivelyshaped fairwayslined bybirch trees, heather and broom, maximising the natural landscape and producing a beautiful and challenging course.
  • The Boathas been dubbed the Gleneagles of the North. Ithas been voted Scotlands No.1 Hidden Gem by readers ofbunkered magazine; in 2010 it was ranked in Scotlands top35 courses.
  • Following your day on the golf course, you will return to Aldourie Castle for an evening of relaxation and gourmet dinner.

Day 8

  • After breakfast, you will check out of Aldourie Castle and be transferred by luxury car, coach or helicopter back to your chosen airport.
  • This tour is only suitable for groups with a minimum of ten people
