In order to facilitate your booking with Platinum Golf Scotland it is important that you understand your commitment to us and our commitment to you. We would therefore ask you to carefully read through our Terms & Conditions as set out below. If you disagree with these Terms & Conditions we reserve the right not to proceed with your booking.
1.1 Initial enquiry
When we have received your request we will prepare and send you a proposal which will include all your requests and will indicate the package price. At this stage you can request any amendments you wish.
Once you finally agree to the proposal and ask us to proceed with the booking we will send you confirmation of the itinerary.
1.3 Securing the booking
We will also send you an invoice for your initial deposit (refer to 2.1 below). Once we have received your deposit
Upon receiving your confirmation to proceed we will invoice you for a non-refundable deposit of 10% – 40%. The deposit amount will be calculated on the requirements of the hotels, golf courses, transfer providers, sightseeing bookings and any other booking / bookings you have requested. All rates quoted are inclusive of VAT and are payable in £ Sterling.
Your booking is conditional until we receive you deposit.
2.2 Final balance
A final balance invoice will be sent to you and must be paid in full 12 weeks prior to your arrival.
2.3 If you are booking within 12 weeks prior to arrival you will be asked to pay the price of your package in full at the time of booking
We will send you receipts for all payments made to us from you
2.5 Payment method
You will have the choice of making payments to Platinum Golf Scotland by the following methods:
1. Bank Transfer
2. Credit Card
All payments must be made in £ Sterling
After an initial deposit or full payment has been made, amendments requested by you may incur a charge depending upon the request. The normal charge is £30 per amendment.
4.1 Initial Deposit
If we do not receive your deposit as requested we will cancel your booking
4.2 Interim Payments
If interim payments (normally in respect of Guaranteed Old Course Tee Times and non-refundable) are not received as agreed in the initial invoice we will cancel your booking
4.3 Final Balance
If the final balance payment is not received by the agreed due date we will cancel your booking
4.4 Written Cancellation
If at any time you inform us in writing of your formal intention to cancel the booking you will be subject to Cancellation Charges as follows;
More than 84 days prior to date of arrival; Deposit and any Interim Payments
84 days or less prior to date of arrival: 100%
5.1 If an alteration is required to be made to your itinerary that is forced upon us by one of our suppliers we will contact you to discuss suitable alternative arrangements
6.1 Platinum Golf Scotland along with our service providers shall not be liable for any failure of or delay in the performance of this Agreement for the period that such failure or delay is due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, threats of war, strikes or labour disputes, embargoes, government orders, riots, terrorist activity, civil disobedience, theft, illness, weather conditions and any other conditions beyond our control.
6.2 If your rounds of golf are cancelled by the golf club organisations due to adverse weather conditions we will not accept responsibility but will work in conjunction with the golf club to ensure you are offered an alternative tee time or a refund for your round.
7.1 It is our recommendation that members of your party purchase the necessary Travel / Holiday / Medical Insurance in your country of residence
8.1 The conditions set out in this contract are governed by Scots Law and are within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
