Nestled in the heart of rural Perthshire, Pitlochry is not just a gateway to the Highlands but a haven for golf enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Its Scottish charm and welcoming atmosphere resonate throughout the year, making every visit memorable.

The Golfer’s Paradise: Pitlochry Golf Course

Founded in 1909, the Pitlochry Golf Course is a masterpiece of golfing architecture. This 5,700-yard heathland course, though not lengthy by modern standards, presents a unique blend of challenge and beauty. It tests every aspect of a golfer’s repertoire.

First Tee Wonder: The journey begins at the elevated 1st tee, requiring a strategic blind second shot, setting the tone for a game of skill and foresight.

Notable Holes: Each hole on the course offers its unique challenge. The 9th, a captivating dogleg left with out-of-bounds hazards, demands tactical play. The 16th, a short but tricky hole with its elevated tee, is often regarded as the signature hole, but others like the 1st, 6th, and 18th are equally memorable.

Scenic Splendor: As you progress through the course, the stunning views of the Scottish Highlands unfold, making every step a visual delight. The panoramic vistas from various points are breathtaking and elevate the golfing experience.

Facilities and Training: The course boasts a covered range, academy, and practice areas, making it an ideal spot for beginners and seasoned players to refine their skills.

Dining: A Gastronomic Journey

Pitlochry’s dining scene is as diverse as its landscapes. Cidsin Bistro and Gin Bar offers a modern twist on Indian cuisine, while The Old Mill Inn and Fern Cottage Restaurant provide traditional Scottish and Mediterranean flavours. Victoria’s Restaurant is a family-friendly spot with a menu sourced from Scotland’s larder.

Accommodations: Comfort and Charm

From the historic Atholl Palace Hotel to cozy guesthouses, Pitlochry caters to all preferences. Each accommodation enriches your stay with comfort, excellent service, and a touch of Scottish hospitality.

Beyond Golf: Activities and Culture

Explore Blair Athol Distillery, take in the serene beauty of Loch Dunmore, or seek adventure in kayaking and mountain biking. The town’s cultural heartbeat is evident in its traditional Highland Nights and the diverse performances at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

Picture Perfection

Pitlochry is a mosaic of experiences. Its golf course, with its challenging layout and scenic beauty, is a jewel in Scotland’s golfing crown. Combined with its culinary delights, cozy accommodations, and a range of activities, Pitlochry is more than a destination – it’s an unforgettable experience, a slice of Scottish heaven.

Platinum Golf Scotland Testimonials

Marc and I would like to thank you for the beautiful journey you prepared. Everything was well organized, timing, convenience, réservations, etc. All the people we met were so kind to us that we felt just like home. Golf in Scotland is the best place and this east coast is just gorgeous we leave the country with the ambition and hope to be back.

Michel & Marc

It was so nice to meet you and Stuart in person as well.  Clearly you take great interest in your clients’ satisfaction, and it shows.  As we may have mentioned, we had never been to Scotland or the UK and this trip exceeded all of our expectations.  And as lovers of golf, the experience was utterly unforgettable.  Thank you again for the lovely gifts you shared with us upon arrival.

We loved our trip.  If we booked it again tomorrow (we wish we could!) we wouldn’t change a thing except maybe substitute a different hotel for Loch Green.  Thank you for making our “bucket list” trip so special.

Russell & Kelly

Thanks again for a fantastic trip !

We look forward to the next one !

We have had a great time in London too although it’s been a bit overwhelming! What a city!

Keith

Thank you for this wonderful experience and for helping to make this trip a dream come true for all of us. We can’t wait to come back to Scotland!

Vince

Our heartfelt thanks to you and Stuart for the holiday of our dreams and especially for Johannes. It was beyond his expectations (and mine) and we had such a beautiful time together. The true test of Johannes’ love for Scotland was his purchase of an entire kilt outfit with all the bits and bobs, I nearly fainted –I am truly living in Outlander. I almost fell over, we expect our kilts in December or January, and photos will be sent, I promise

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to you both, every detail and every moment was fabulous! We are eating shortbread with proper marmalade and relish our memories.

Hi Lynda & Stuart,

First, back home safe & sound.

From the bottom of my heart, the two of you are absolutely amazing and delightful. But more than that, so capable. A truly glitch less nine days. So fun!

Max

Our Scottish Golf and Whisky experience was wonderful! Thank you for putting together such a fabulous itinerary. Everything was so well thought out and perfectly timed

Basically, you put together a trip we will always remember. Thank you for everything. We would highly recommend you to our friends who are interested in a Scottish golf experience.. Also, thank you for the lovely welcome gifts and taking the time to meet us that Sunday morning at St. Andrews.

When I asked Kevin to describe the trip in one word he said “perfect”, Glynnis said “spectacular” and my word was “awesome”. Pretty simple but the words fit our pictures (almost 1,000) and our memories.

Thank you Lynda and Stewart, the trip was excellent in every way

We got the photo from Panmure and it is so good! Definitely going on my office wall!

My boys and I loved Panmure. As we have discussed before, it is exactly the kind of course and club I love to visit when here. While all the trophy courses are wonderful, they do have a bit of commercialism that I like to ignore. None of that at all at Panmure, just pure golf and pure class.

Thanks for these photos, they are great.

All my best and thanks from my entire family,

David

What a fantastic journey at St Andrews. Great city, great atmosphere, 3 great courses. I did not like the castle course the same way. I think that the hotel is THE perfect location because we could walk around, go everywhere without using a car , restaurants and bars were max 5 to 7 minutes, perfect.

I would recommand this to every of my golf friends. That is an experience every golfer should live .

My friends were very happy about your professionalism and about the courses , the perfect timing, and the gifts.
